Ok honestly I’m so fucking sick of the whole mermaid copying bullshit.
Ok first off. If Lady Gaga was wearing a mermaid suit, OF COURSE SHE’D BE IN A WHEELCHAIR. Because she can’t fucking walk with a mermaid tail, she wanted to move around the whole stage, NOT JUST STAND IN ONE SPOT SINGING YOU AND I, and she wanted to move to let the audience know about clues for the possible new song. So fuck GET OVER IT. Wheelchair wasn’t even glammed up or anything, it was the one from aged care facilities, it wasn’t there to shock people, THE MERMAID was the shock. So Bette Midler get over it. If you think you’re so great, then try walking in a mermaid suit and you can claim the prize.
(PS. I WAS ACTUALLY AT SYDNEY MONSTER HALL AND DIDN’T NOTICE THE MERMAID TAIL UNTIL SHE MOVED AROUND IN HER WHEELCHAIR)
And the whole Katy Perry thing, honestly I think it was a coinkidink, I mean mermaids are a great idea honestly. But Katy Perry just did it for a photoshoot (I think). So little monsters don’t need to get all rude to her, cause I love her too and that’s just wrong.
Honestly, every fucking mermaid is amazing, but the most original mermaid IS FUCKING ARIEL.
That’s why I fucking love her SO MUCH.
